Over the past twenty years, I have taught a variety of English courses, ESP English, General English, English for exam bodies. I have extensive experience working with ESL students, as well as students with a variety of learning disabilities and children at all ages from primary school to university students. Some of my duties while teaching at universities involved teaching and tutoring projects full-time on courses designed to prepare Greek students for entry to graduate and post-graduate university degree programmes, raising Greek students’ English language and study skills to a level at which they can cope with the demands of post-graduate study at the University, developing skills and language for writing essays taking part in seminars, coping with reading and lectures, increasing awareness of the expectations of UK academic culture, and helping students to begin to adapt towards it.
I have created ten E-learning programmes that run very successfully by the Department of Banking and Financial Management, University of Piraeus in Greece since 2015. I was also employed by Imperial London College as an EAP Teacher for their summer pre-sessional courses for six weeks for the last two consecutive years. I am familiar with online technology and can deliver online EAP courses using 365 Microsoft apps and OneNotebook.
I am therefore confident that my teaching experience and my skills in working with ESL and university students make me an excellent candidate for this post at your university department. I will be available to have a Skype interview with you at your earliest convenience. Thank you so much for your consideration; I look forward to hearing from you.
