The 2nd Hydrogen Summer School aims to reskill and upskill both students and the workforce internationally in the field of hydrogen. More specifically, this program is implemented in the framework of the European project Green Skills for Hydrogen, by the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia and Advent Technologies, which are partners of the project, in collaboration with the Center of Continuing and Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) and the University of Western Macedonia. More specifically, the program will enable trainees to deepen and develop their knowledge about hydrogen technologies throughout the hydrogen value chain.

Through the 2nd hydrogen summer school, it is expected that:

  • Participants will delve into and develop their knowledge in hydrogen technologies and end uses
  • Participants will broaden their collaborations through interaction with scientists, researchers and speakers from the business industry
  • The summer school will promote innovative and sustainable solutions
  • The event will accelerate the growth of the hydrogen economy
  • The training, reskilling and upskilling of participants through a comprehensive understanding of hydrogen technologies related to the production, storage, use and safety of hydrogen, its applications, benefits and potential role in the energy transition
  • Participants will be able to identify and evaluate hydrogen technologies and practical applications
  • The acquisition of critical evaluation, questioning, analysis and interpretation skills to solve complex and unpredictable problems consistent with the rapidly developing hydrogen sector
  • Building a team of researchers, students, entrepreneurs and professionals, based on the adoption of hydrogen technologies-innovations

i) The target group of the program includes undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, researchers and graduates of science and technology (University & Technological Education) at international level.
