The University of Western Macedonia begins the new academic year with the best omens, as another important certification is added to the already existing ones. The management system of the Centre of Education and Lifelong Learning of the University (C.CE.LL.) was certified by the international standard ISO 21001:2018 by BQC, a Greek Accredited Certification and Training Body.

With this certification, C.CE.LL. is directly differentiated in the field of education, as ISO 21001 focuses on the interactions between the educational organization, the trainee, and other stakeholders, providing the highest quality of service. It specifies requirements for a Management System for Educational Organizations, where the organization demonstrates its ability to provide, share, and produce knowledge while complying with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements and aiming to satisfy learners and staff through the effective implementation of the ΕΟΜS, including processes for the continuous improvement of the system.

It is noted that the University of Western Macedonia has already received certification according to International Standards and has a certificate of Proper Implementation of the Social Responsibility Standard (ISO 26000), Implementation of an Anti-Bribery System (ISO 37001), Quality Management Certificate (ISO 9001) and System Implementation of Environmental Management (ISO 14001), professing Quality, in practice.
